Annuity Withdrawals & Taxes
Did you take a withdrawal from your annuity in 2020 that was COVID related? You should have received a 1099-R and it probably has a 1 in Box 7.
NBF spoke with Wells Fargo, who processes the 1099’s based upon the application type. They indicate that the 1099 is correct if it has a 1 in Box 7 and that any application for the waiver must be submitted under IRS form 8915-E. So the 1099s are not going to be changed.

Don’t forget if you claimed unemployment, you should have a 1099-G that needs to be claimed on your return.
